Wake From A Dream/醉醒,an original Chinese painting on Chinese golden silk in Germany in 2016,20''x 20''x 0.08''

I painted this piece after I woke up from a dream. This Chinese artwork is a record of my life to express how much I appreciate my life in Germany where I was live at the tine. The deer painting featured in the painting emphasizes on the details of fur. It is the feature of traditional Chinese realist painting (Gongbi/工笔画) which you can find a lot in my art work. If you are searching for special gift that will never be forgotten, or running out of 21st birthday gift ideas or art deco, my work will leave an impression anywhere it is hung.

On the back of painting, I made a Chinese poem in Seven quatrains. The calligraphy of the poem is Li Shu (隶书), an ancient Chinese character used in the Han Dynasty (206 B.C-A.D.220 ) Here is english translation of the poem below:

Wake From A Dream

Sound of flute from sky far away,

Fairy, deer and butterfly dancing on the way.

What a beauty, what a flower, what a dream.

Wake up, you found it was not a dream, but the real way!

[Chinese Culture Introduction]

Seven quatrains in China (七言绝句) is a type of stanza, or a complete poem, consisting of four lines. It starts from Yuefu of Southern Dynasty in A.D 420 (南朝乐府)and popular in , formed in Tang Dynasty in A.D. 618 (唐朝)in Chinese history.

Clerical Script(隶书)

The clerical script (traditional Chinese: 隸書; simplified Chinese: 隶书; pinyin: lìshū; Japanese: 隷書体, reishotai; Vietnamese: lệ thư), also formerly chancery script, is an archaic style of Chinese calligraphy which evolved from the Warring States period to the Qin dynasty, was dominant in the Han dynasty, and remained in use through the Wei-Jin periods.

[Artist Introduction: Grace D.McBride]

She is a traditional Chinese painting artist was born in China, lived in Germany and currently lives in Miami, FL in the United States. She started to paint when she was 4 years old and had been classically trained in Traditional Chinese painting class with university students, starting when she was 6 years old.

She has traveled around the world, lived abroad, experienced different cultures, and the further she went the closer she felt to her Chinese root. So she would like to be a storyteller with my painting brush, to share my culture with you. She believes art belongs to everyone, and it is a gift to everyone. She is grateful, so she paints.

You can find a lot of her paintings that are gifts she gives to whom she loves and appreciates including herself. If you like her painting, welcome to communicate with her. That means your life start to grow together in a beautiful miracle way.
