I was inspired by my OBGYN who always wears a shinning cross. I painted it after I give birth to our son.It design as a pediatrician gift, a mother gift from son, and the best baby shower gifts.
I sketched with two simple colors inspired by Chinese paper cutting art. Based ancient Buddhist legend of Guan Yin (送子观音), she brings blessing to families who prey to have children. The woman in the painting rides Kirin (Qi Lin/麒麟) and raises a new born.Qi Lin is one of four Chinese goddess animal, the fourth one is dragon according to 《Li Ji, 9th (礼记.礼运第九) 》. It has the head of lion, deer horn, tiger eyes, elk body, scale of dragon, tail of cow, dragon fur of tail. This is also my source of creative Qi Lin in this painting. The painting makes for a great addition to a home about to have their own ‘new addition’. In the consideration of model design house, I choose black and dark red color which is easy to match any model interior design to be an art deco or wall deco.

《篆书》
The calligraphy I write on painting named Zeal Character (Zhuan Shu/篆书) which was used 2000 years ago in China. It is the first official character in Chinese history. It keeps the feature of hieroglyph and the foundation of Chinese written character (方块字).It is the very calligraphy can represent Chinese character in my opinion. This is the reason I choose to use in my painting.

She is a traditional Chinese painting artist was born in China, lived in Germany and currently lives in Miami, FL in the United States. She started to paint when she was 4 years old and had been classically trained in Traditional Chinese painting class with university students, starting when she was 6 years old.
She has traveled around the world, lived abroad, experienced different cultures, and the further she went the closer she felt to her Chinese root. So she would like to be a storyteller with my painting brush, to share my culture with you. She believes art belongs to everyone, and it is a gift to everyone. She is grateful, so she paints.
